FAQ
We will do our best and beyond to find the Northern Lights. And we are really good at it. But please note that they are a natural phenomenon and due to weather shifting condition and so many other factors, NOT ONLY US, but any of the tour company in the area can guarantee that they will be seen. Please note that unfortunately a refund won't be issued if the northern lights do not appear, or in case of not shown or short appearance.
The duration of the tour is described as 6 hours. Please note this is a flexible duration and will entirely depends on the course of the tour: the distance of the chase, weather conditions and the northern lights displays. This means the tour may return earlier (around midnight) or later (after midnight).
Photos will be made available for free download within 24 hours after your tour ends, and in exchange for a review sharing your experience with us😁😅😇. But remember that photos are extra. If the lights are being difficult to find or appear just for a short period and we have to be moving fast, we might not take pictures because we prioritize to find the lights. Lights are the main goal of this trip.
Great question!!!
We at Paradise Northern Lights prioritize your comfort and safety during our guided tours to see the Aurora Borealis. We currently transport our guests in a minibus which has a capacity up to 15 passengers. The minibus is equipped with heating and spike winter tires combined with a 2.0L, 170 hp diesel engine to deliver a very good combination of comfort, quality and accessibility. Ensuring a warm and secure journey through the snowy/icy terrain.
Great question!!
We at Paradise Northern Lights love pets very much, and we strive to provide an exceptional and memorable experiences for all our guests.
However, due to the nature of our guided tours to see the Northern Lights, we unfortunately do not allowed pets on the tours. This policy ensures the safety and comfort of all participants due to possible alergies, as well as the welfare of the pets themselves, considering the potentially harsh weather conditions and the long duration of the tours. We recommend making alternative arrangements for your pets while you enjoy the breathtaking spectacle of the Aurora Borealis with us. We appreciated your understanding.
His name is Roberto. He is a seriuos, responsable, social and funny person coming all the way up from the beautifull Cuba🌞🏖️. He's been living in Norway for over 12 years and in Tromsø for 7 years guiding this type of tours, so he knows the area very well. Mother tongue Spanish, but he speaks fluently English and Norwegian too. He used to be fluently in French as well, but he is a bit out of practice now. Back in Cuba he worked as an English translator and a turist guide. These two elements together with his passion for the Northern Lights makes him perfect for this type of activity. So definitely you're gonna be in good hands. He loves Northern Lights and wherever they appear, that place becomes like a Paradise to him, and that's where the name of the company comes from. Book your tour with us and get ready to have a nice experience. We are looking forward to meeting you guys!!!
Great answer!!
At the moment we do not take groups of 25 people. We have a minibus with place for only 15 passengers.
BUT... We have partnership with another company who also has a minibus, and they take 14 passengers. So, if we plan it on time, can 29 people be booked with both of us. We recommend arranging your booking as soon as possible to secure availability since we get full booked quite fast.
We at Paradise Northern Light think it would be better with us since we are the owner of the company and not just the driver/guide. We search for good service by offering a more personalized experience.
We have a better accessibility than a big bus and boats, since we are smaller and can park more easily. Please contact us directly at 004793400759 to coordinate your booking for larger groups.
Good luck!!
Dear Valued Guests,
We are truly delighted to welcome you on an unforgettable Northern Lights adventure with Paradise Northern Light. Our main goal is to ensure a safe, pleasant, and enjoyable experience for everyone on board. Since we will be spending several hours together in a small minibus. To help ensure the comfort and satisfaction of all participants, we kindly and respectfully ask for your attention to the following points. These guidelines are based on feedback from our previous guests through out past seasons.
#1: PERSONAL HYGIENE
For the comfort of everyone, we kindly ask that you maintain good personal hygiene during the tour. This is really important to be allowed to go in the bus and if you plan to wear our winter thermal suits. Smoking while wearing them is not permitted. Please note that these suits are shared among clients throughout the season, and keeping them clean and fresh is essential to guarantee a nice experience for all. So a shower and clean clothes is recommended
#2: FOOD
Warm food is not allowed in the bus. However, light snacks such as cookies, soft drinks, or small fruits are welcome, but we kindly ask that all waste is collected and either handed to the driver/guide or disposed off properly.
#3: SAFETY & GUIDANCE
Please remember that your guide is responsible for you throughout the tour. In the Arctic wilderness, there are several factors beyond our control such as darkness, weather, snow, road conditions/trafic, and wildlife that can influence the evening. For safety reasons, and to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone, your guide will provide instructions during the tour. We kindly and respectfully ask that you please follow them carefully, as this helps us keep you safe while also maintaining a positive dynamic within the group.
We sincerely appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us maintain a welcoming and comfortable environment for everyone. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Thank you very much, and we look forward to sharing this magical experience with you tonight!
kind regards,
Paradise Northern Light team.
Toilets
As our transportation are minibuses without onboard toilets, we kindly remind you to use the bathroom before the tour begins. Toilet stops during the tour depend on the chosen route, tour progress, and logistics. This is not always possible or it may take long time before we are able to do it.
